PROCESS TECHNICIAN

We have openings for Process Technician to provide operation, technical, set-up and processing support for the molding operation. 

Responsibilities include coordinating molding manufacturing (start-up/shut-downs, calibration, setting machines and secondary equipment, etc.); independently supporting the molding process (install molds, calibration, and extrusion tooling, perform mold leveling and plumbing of existing and newly acquired blow molds, purge materials in and out, etc.); monitoring machine and overall process performance including, and performing effective troubleshooting activities as required.

Associates Degree in a related field and training and/or experience in basic processing and set up; or high school diploma or GED required and 2-4 years experience in molding is required.

INJECTION MOLDING MANAGER

We have an exciting opportunity for an Injection Molding Manager..  The successful candidate will have a leading role in developing effective strategies to ensure that we maintain and enhance our already strong reputation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Actively manage the molding processes to verify and improve operating efficiency including, but not limited to, communicating daily updates on equipment and production status; monitoring, analyzing and reporting daily efficiency and downtime; advising appropriate personnel for correction of manufacturing issues. 

 

  • Leading the continuous improvement of assigned area, including, but not limited to, development of high caliber leadership by defining qualified backups and succession plans for all positions; helping to identify and overseeing implementation of all related capital improvement plans, and leading and participating in continuous improvement teams.
  • Act as a liaison between Business Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, and the Technical Services group on a daily basis in order to insure high customer service and continuous improvement. 

 

  • Lead corrective actions related to molding processes and/or non-technical issues resulting from molding personnel-related problems.  Contribute to all corrective actions as a part of the QRC (Quality Review Committee).

Associates Degree in manufacturing processes or related field and five to seven years experience or training in machining, plastics molding, materials, assembly, SPC, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, problem solving and computers required.  Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience will be considered.
